CFO Services

When you work with South Coast, you’re bringing in a twenty-year veteran who has overseen multi-million-dollar enterprises, as well as advising smaller family-run operations that lack the capacity to make a full-time executive hire.

  • Access the high-value specialized skills of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on a periodic basis to improve profitability, identify new growth strategies, reduce management stress, and bring about valuable insights that can take a business to new heights.

  • A specialist to oversee, analyze and translate financial information to help management work more efficiently and better understand day-to-day performance.

  • Allow your management team to focus on the non-financial elements of your operation, with the complete confidence that critical financial components are being attended to.

As an independent financial advisor, South Coast doesn’t replace your external accountant. Rather, we complement their services.

While accountants mainly work on annual compliance items such as taxation and historical reporting, a CFO focuses on your performance today, tomorrow and in the bigger picture. We report to you on a regular basis, ensuring that you are fully informed on the progress made, while providing regular recommendations for changes or improvements.

What is a CFO?

A CFO, or Chief Financial Officer, is a senior executive whose role in a company is to understand the big financial picture in which the business operates, and to develop strategies that will ensure its long-term growth and stability.

Some of the primary tasks of a CFO include:

  • Putting systems in place to proactively create, identify, and deliver the information needed to maximize business performance.

  • Translate raw data into insights that help owners and managers fully understand their company’s financial picture, influencing operational decisions and creating efficiencies.

  • Monitoring financial performance through the use of financial ratios, revealing where a business is underperforming and helping to evaluate the potential effects of changes throughout the company.

  • SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Assessments which help to target the specific areas the business must address.
